Our Biennial Fall Event...Saturday, November 3, 2018
Open Fields School hosts Awesome Autumn Afternoon, a day filled with food, festivities, and fun.
WHEN: Saturday, November 3, 2018. Doors open at 12:00. Music, lunch, and kids' activities start at noon, auction starts at 1pm. Download the auction catalog.
WHERE: Thetford Center Community Center (Rt. 113, Thetford, across from the Thetford Center Store)
WHAT:
- Harvest Lunch: an 'all you can eat' selection of soups, pastas, chili, desserts, and beverages, plus a burger or hotdog from Shire Beef. Plenty of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and low-sugar options. $10.00 for adults; $5.00 for children under 12.
- Outdoor kid's activities throughout the afternoon, including active games and traditional crafts
- An auction with auctioneer Dean Whitlock (starting at 1 pm). Get a jump on your holiday shopping or find a treasure just for you. This year's selection of auction items include gift certificates for Irving, ECBrowns, Dandelion Acres Nursery, and Kevin's Custom Arrows; passes for VINS and the Nugget; pressure washer, commercial grade Keurig with reusable pods, magicians' props, telescopes, Nuwave Oven, essential oils, Folk Floors floor cloth, jewelry, arts and crafts, and more!
A successful Great Goose Egg Auction!
We raised over $7,000 at our Great Goose Egg Auction in White River Junction, Vermont. We’ll be doing it again in 2019, so if you’d like to suggest an artist, please let us know!

Open Fields is a small non-graded independent school, just off the common on Thetford Hill, Vermont. Founded in 1971 by Jean K. Aull, Open Fields is open to all children, ages 4 through 12.
